reaction to the Andy Reed Super Bowl. What hits you when you first hear Kansas City versus Philadelphia?

Well, the first thing is Andy Reed and just how much he meant to the Eagles franchise for years and years and

years and how competitive they continue to be and now how successful he has

been with Kansas City but as a Cleveland native, I know some people are going to get sick of this. But man, the Kelsey brothers participating in a Super Bowl against one another, that is something that is very, very special. and like I said as somebody who also

grew up in the suburbs on the east side of Cleveland I take a lot of pride in that

I'm not gonna lie to you Peter. You know I'll tell you and that

that's a good one would definitely talk about that today this week in the pod. You know, the one other thing I do want to discuss,

and we are going to get into this a little bit later in the pod in more depth,

I think it's very interesting that

35 years after I went to a Super Bowl in San Diego and Doug Williams made mincemeat of the Denver Broncos in that Super Bowl.

We now are to the point where, and I bring up Doug Williams because obviously, you know, we got a lot of questions that week and even

after the game about the historic nature of being a black quarterback in the Super Bowl.

And now, I didn't even realize it until about,

I don't know, 2 o'clock Monday morning

that Patrick Mahomes and Jaylin Hurts, because I saw it

somewhere was going to be the first matchup of two black quarterbacks in the 57 years of Super Bowls.

And one of the reasons I really didn't think about it is that it's become so

natural. It's become so a part of the NFL fabric. I don't really think about the whole

black quarterback issue so much anymore, but I consider that to be progress we're going to get to that a little
