We have a very loaded and important topic to cover today.

And as you may know, in probably five minutes ago the ninth of the month of

of the most tragic date on the Hebrew calendar where

commemorated in synagogues. Jewish people are lamenting, fasting, and sitting on the floor

and reading from the Book of lamentations, the eyewitness account of the

prophet Jeremiah of the destruction of the First Temple at least in his time, and while we go through

all of that, the most unprecedented deployment of US military forces by the sea, in the air and on the ground all around the Middle East with an anticipation for a

massive strike from Iran and Hezbollah and maybe the Houthis and the pro-Iranian militias in Iraq and Syria and also a growing

concern in Israel for another October 7-like event coming not from Gaza but this time from the West Bank.

I want to give you a quote from the Book of Lamentation in light of not only Tishabhayah the ninth of but also in light of

the help that quite a few Israelis think that we are about to get from other nations in order to survive this coming pending attack.

Lammentation chapter 4, 17, we know that Jeremiah said,

still our eyes failed us, watching vainly for our help in our watching

we watch for a nation that could not save us and I want you to know that although

America is here and although other countries may try to help us,

unless God is going to help us, all the other help is of course not going to be much of a difference unless the Lord protects the

city the guards those guards are guarded in vain and and so I hope that this ninth of Av is not only going to be

fasting and lamenting over the destruction but also getting closer and asking
