Hey everyone it's Wes. Really hope you enjoy this week's episode. It's our news

roundup. It's one that's really fun because we get to compile all these stories

from the last, I don't know a month, a month and a half. I wanted to do a quick intro

because re-listening to the episode I do feel like I didn't really stress hard enough

about a certain animal that we feature, Mount Alliance Cougars. I didn't really stress just how many interactions

happen with these animals every single day

where they don't turn violent,

where the animal turns and runs away,

where they do whatever they can to avoid us and very very rarely do they ever

decide to attack or to hurt us or to even interact with us in any way.

There are thousands and thousands of Mount Lions and Cougars

across the United States, across Canada, Alaska,

other places, all throughout the Americas, and they just really don't ever attack us.

If they did, if they saw us as a source of food, we would be seeing attacks every single day and

we don't. So I just felt like I didn't do a really good job portraying that today in the story.

Sometimes with these news episodes it's just so quick from story to story that I kind of forget to talk about that and it made me think about it afterward and they're an animal I love so much and that I've been super close to without having any kind of negative interaction. So these are really flukes, these are outliers, and we talk about that today, but then I kind of say, you know, this can be an unpredictable animal and then I try and say that it was predictable.

So I just kind of was a little confused when I listened to it and I wanted to make that clear

because ultimately that's the most important thing to me in these episodes.
