Kayla, welcome to the podcast. It's a pleasure to have you here. You are one of the top, if not the top,

0:06.3

longevity experts who's also a female and you're not just here to talk to women, you're here to to men too but you bring a unique perspective to the longevity space from a female perspective and today we're gonna go into a bunch of things including your extensive evidence-based morning routine

0:26.1

that you feel is going to help you live to a hundred and beyond. But before we

0:31.4

do that I was chit-chatting a little bit with you. I want to talk about what are some of the most destructive, not supportive, bad habits that you see that people have in their morning routine, things that are basically

0:47.2

starting their day off on the wrong foot when it comes to longevity.

0:51.1

Well, there's a lodge, so I mean it can be as simple as just grabbing your phone right away. You know we all

1:30.9

rhythm and our ancestors would rise with the sun and fall asleep as the sun

1:36.1

set essentially and we are so disconnected from that and it's really impacting our biology in a negative way.

1:43.7

So by skipping, getting some morning sun

1:46.8

and moving your body in the morning,

1:48.7

you're missing out on improving your dopamine

1:52.0

and telling your brain and body essentially through the light

1:54.6

that it's time to wake up. These are two really simple and free practices that I

1:59.6

don't think a lot of people are implementing. they're certainly becoming more widely known, but not too many people are implementing.

2:06.3
