0:00.0	Well, welcome to another episode of All Out in the Open with Michael Soto and myself, Liz McDonald. We are so glad to be here today with Dr. Lisa Diamond,
0:27.8	who is a professor of psychology and gender studies at University of Utah. She has taught
0:34.5	almost 25 years in that area after getting her PhD at Cornell.
0:39.7	And we also have with us Julia Decker and Jay Christensen, who are two of her research assistants,
0:45.6	who are working on their master's.
0:47.1	I'm going to let you tell us exactly what you're each doing.
0:51.5	But for getting started, we would just love to hear from each of you a little bit
0:55.3	about your background and why you're here and what you're doing yeah of course in
1:01.1	the spirit of storytelling it probably helps to start with mine because I so I graduated
1:07.8	with my bachelor's in 2020, time is a soup, 2022.
1:14.3	So I graduated in the, at the tail end of COVID.
1:19.5	So recollection is a wild thing.
1:22.4	But I did my undergraduate thesis with Lisa Diamond looking at the intersection of traumatic
1:29.5	symptomology and LTP2+, identity within the LVS Church.
1:35.8	But using social safety as that sort of connecting through line of like, okay, so we know
1:41.5	that minority stress theory may or may have some pretty inconsistent results
1:46.9	as far as seeing the connection to outcomes.
1:50.3	So we had that changes the whole course of our lab work, and now we get into Julia's work,
1:58.9	which ended up building on everything and sort of launching what we
2:03.2	are calling the lighthouse cohort.
