The overall statistic is one in three people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime,

one in three. And there are some people where we are not going to prevent the development of

that cancer and we need to think about more creative ways to treat their cancer. But we know

that lifestyle interventions do help prevent cancer. It's about a 20% risk reduction

in the development of cancers sort of across the board with exercise.

at this year's CrossFit Games. This particular panel was on the topic of cancer and we had an

incredible group of panelists sharing a variety of perspectives. This was the most personally

touching panel for me and I think it was for many of our audience members there as well.

Our panelists included Fran Whitfield who's a trainer sharing her personal experience with

stage 4 breast cancer as well as Dr. Ellison Warner who's an exercise oncologist who cares for

patients and does research on the benefits of cancer for cancer treatment and prevention.

Ziana Hanson, barbells for boobs founder who shared her personal connection to cancer

and some of the amazing work she's been doing within the CrossFit community through barbells

for boobs over the past several years and finally Scott Britton who is the founder of battle cancer
