Hey, welcome to this special short Tuesday episode where I get to introduce to you a new book that we just completed called the Excel Stillmore Daily Bible Devotional.

This first volume covers every chapter of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. The hope here is that

this becomes a companion piece to your own daily Bible reading, whether you're doing so on your

own, with your family, in a small group setting, or even a Bible class at church.

So basically, you begin by reading the biblical text, then you open this devotional to that

corresponding chapter, and you get four things. A paragraph that recaps the content of the

scripture, a paragraph with application from that chapter, a short prayer that draws upon

the language of the text, and then three thought questions for your own benefit or for usage in a

premium thicker paper quality. So what I would love to do in the back

half of this episode is actually read through the content for one of the chapters, and I've chosen

John 1. So you might normally start by reading through that chapter on your own, and then devote

just a few minutes of your time to the devotional. Just a quick note before I begin

the reading, the plan throughout next year is to have episodes like this for every chapter of the

New Testament. They will release Monday through Friday each week. If you read one New Testament chapter

a day, Monday through Friday, you will read the whole of it in exactly a year.

So this first volume, which covers Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John will take us through the first

third of 2025, and then we will release volumes two and three along the way. So to give you a taste
