Fall is a beautiful time of year isn't it so let's get right to work here. Definitely perhaps an unexpected season in Dallas making the

NBA finals. I guess we became very familiar with this team and their formula throughout the playoffs

last year. Also they had a very nice close to the season.

People forget that they were kind of firmly in the play-in mix

before the trade deadline.

So, let's just kind of go through like what it was about the formula of this team that was so effective that enabled them to make the NBA finals and then maybe we can unpack how much of that will continue or improve or decline.

Yeah, I think it's important to view this team as having kind of two seasons.

They started the year, you know, okay, but you know, there's not a lot of answers lively became an answer Derek Lively but you know he didn't even start the first game

You know as early a summer league that this was a player a player that I was told verbatim, you know, a bit more than a year ago that, you know, maybe second half of the season he could contribute. And he obviously broke out, but the team wasn't you know like like you said they were they were

firmly a playing team at one point they were let's see I have the schedule right in front of me you know

26 and 23 you know 26 23 to start February and that's that's right around when the the

team made these trades for PJ Washington and Daniel Gafford and what had been a team that kind of looked like a Luca team, looked like a usual Luca team where the
