Today is part two in our series on American frontiersman Daniel Boone.

Last time we covered Boone's early life and how his family and the frontier shaped him.

Also there was the French and Indian War, his marriage to Rebecca Boone and the long hunts, where he went off into the wilderness for months even years at a time

Boone had emerged as one of the finest woodsmen and hunters of the American frontier,

but the man had little sense for business and struggled with dead and bill collectors.

Also the pace in which Boone and other hunters, depleted the deer and bear and other game from the forest,

was pushing him further and further west to better hunting grounds.
