It's a very modest profession.

You don't need much for it.

It's not like atomic physics where you need to be equipped with calculus and a plethora

of complexity.

In architect you need a piece of paper, a pencil, your mind, and look far beyond the horizon

towards your dream.

That's why architects are driven by optimism.

I always say, you know, if you want to be an architect, that's the only thing you need

to have.

If you are pessimist, you might as well not go into it because it'll destroy you because

architecture doesn't work that way.

That's prize-winning architect Daniel Liebeskin.

Despite their humble beginnings in paper and pencil, his buildings are dramatic,

unconventional and memorable.

They include the Jewish Museum in Berlin, the Denver Art Museum, war museums in both Manchester

England and resident Germany.

As well as his latest project, the museum dedicated to Albert Einstein, now under construction

in Jerusalem.

I'm so glad you could be with me today because we talk a lot about communicating, but

we've never talked about this very fundamental way of communicating, which is through architecture.
