It's Friday, the 7th of February, two years and 343 days since the full-scale invasion began. I'm joined by Don Nichols,

Gordon. So let's start inside Russia. Ukrainian forces seem to have pushed out slightly to the southeast in the lodgment that they have there.

They seem to have launched a new series of battalion-sized mechanized assaults in Kirste Goldblast.

This started yesterday.

We think they've advanced around five kilometres to the southeast of Sousja,

Sousja being the main town, the sort of main base of their

operations inside Russia. Now, Russia's MOD said Ukraine had attacked in several waves with up to two

mechanized battalions' worth of armored vehicles. The Russian MOD said that their troops,

Russia's troops, had repelled the attack. We can't verify any of this. There was a little bit of geolocated footage,

which is where we've got the five kilometres estimate from. But as you'd expect, it's very,

very difficult to get verified information out. Now, the Russian mill blog community went into a frenzy.

Some claimed that Ukraine had advanced much further, others saying that they'd been advanced at all and they'd been pushed back.
