Today, Russell, I am feeling fabulous. That's a nice feeling. Why? Because every time I think of today's

guest, it's the only word I can think of is fabulous. Because today's guest's influence has reached

far and wide. They are one of the most creative people I've ever met in my life. Just they emanate creativity and kind of a joy,

actually. And even though their work often encompasses satire as well, and it could be very cutting,

very sharp, but very witty and really quite revolutionary in their performances, I'm a massive,

massive fan. And I recently got to meet today's

guest in the sunny climes of, I think, Manchester when I was doing a talk with Susie Hall and

for your film about David Rabilliard. And I could not believe today's guest was there. I actually

had a bit of a kind of shaky moment where I was like, I'm in presence of greatness. And we had,

funnily enough, just spoken about today's guest and their work and their influence, which I keep

mentioning because it is true. So many people have referenced today's guest work. But one of our

previous guests, O'Sheen McKenna, who wrote the amazing book recently, Evenings and Weekends,

he was talking at length in our episode on Talker all about

the influence of today's guests on everything that he does. And when I actually saw him in real

life, I was like, oh my God, we've like manifested him here in front of us. And then I mentioned

it to you. You were very overexcited. We both got very over-excited because today's guest also is

very avant-garde and comes out of a kind of cabaret

movement within london but is also a film director a comedian i guess an actor a singer

they paint on stage there's surrealism there's kind of all these different threads and i've even
