Summary

Today's readings are Judges 9-11, Ruth 4, and Psalm 137. In the reading from Judges, we hear about the rise and fall of Abimelech, as well as the misguided and heartbreaking vow Jephthah makes to God in return for victory over the Ammonites. We also conclude the book of Ruth with the marriage of Boaz and Ruth.

0:32.5	intense, intense book. It is PG-13. It gets worse, knowing that we've had the first eight chapters
0:39.0	of the book of judges, it gets worse. Every chapter is worse than the one before. Just keep that
0:43.6	in mind if you have people that you want to, maybe, I don't know, if you want to edit a little bit
0:49.0	of what you expose people to when it comes to the Word of God. It is still the Word of God, but it is also a hard word.
0:56.0	And it gets harder and harder through the book of judges.
0:57.8	We're also reading a happy, happy story.
1:00.3	And that is Ruth chapter four.
1:01.6	We're concluding the story of Ruth today.
1:03.8	We're also praying Psalm 137.
