Summary

Hey Now! Here's a great second set for your pee-Thanksgiving preparations.. from 11/2/84 at the Berkeley Community Theater, this was probably the highlight of the run, as the band turns in a solid performance highlighted by some great Garcia licks, some amazing Phil sounds and some excellent work from Bobby and Brent.

The 'Help>Slip>Frank' is as always, a great opener, and the band revs it up during the jam in Slipknot! Bobby does a fine 'Sailor>Saint' here, and Brent adds a great deal of depth to Bobby's finale during 'Sailor'. Listen as well to Phil during that Saint for an example of his unmatched abilities. They move into a strong 'Wharf Rat' in the pre-drums slot then break out 'Gimme Some Lovin' for the fist time. They finish the Playin' in the Band they started on 10/28, then finish with strong versions of 'Bertha>Good Lovin'. They return for the last 'Casey Jones' until 1992..

0:12.0	at the Berkeley Community Theater in Berkeley, California on November 2nd, 1984.
0:16.7	This was the fifth of six performances they did at that venue at the fall, during the fall of
0:21.6	84, sort of the hometown venue.
0:24.1	This is a great second set, I think.
0:25.6	It starts out with Help Slip Frank,
0:27.0	always a nice way to open a set.
0:29.6	The slip knot is jammed out properly. Something I really enjoy.
0:34.0	Saylor Saint, fellow Franklin. Nice sailor saint and it goes into an unusually
0:40.3	positioned wharf rat, but Jerry does a great job on it into the very first
0:45.3	give me some loving and then a nice drums in space space is played out of ways and
0:50.1	they mess around at the main 10 theme before they go into the
0:53.6	play and reprise they close the set set with a great Bertha
0:57.1	and rocking into good loving
0:58.6	they come back with an encore Casey Jones it's the last time they played Casey Jones until June the 20th,
1:04.8	1992. There was 549 shows between those two. So that's kind of an interesting
