Summary

I've been thinking it was time for a post-Brent show so I've decided on this one from Shoreline on May 12, 1991. This one has an interesting, well-played setlist, including the breakout of Dylan's "It Takes A Lot To Laugh It Takes A Train To Cry".

Bruce Hornsby is with the band and I always enjoyed his contributions.

0:06.8	This week I decided to bring you a show from a little later period of the dead.
0:10.9	The band played some great shows in 1991 and I happen to think this is a pretty good one.
0:15.0	Comes to us from May 12, 1991, Shoreline Amphitheatre, Mountain View, California.
0:21.0	We're going to hear set one this week and set two next week.
0:24.4	It starts out with a pretty hot Picasso Moon, a tune that wasn't perhaps in the highest ranking of dead tunes but still could have a pretty good jam.
0:35.8	I think this one's not bad. Altheophiles, well played.
0:39.2	C.C. Rider, it takes a lot to laugh.
0:41.5	It takes a train to cry.
0:43.0	First version, first time they played this tune, it became a favorite in 91.
0:48.0	One of my favorites to hear.
0:49.0	El Paso follows and then a rare treat high-time.
0:52.0	Blackthroated wind from weir is pretty nice and it goes into a set
0:56.8	closing deal. We're set to next week but this first set is well played and it's a nice recording.
