So you've just gone back from Washington, D.C. you attended the 2024 Libertarian National Convention.

We spoke briefly on the phone.

You mentioned it wasn't quite the tone and the atmosphere you had come to expect from our friends at the Ludwig

Fonnesis society. There was a kind of, would you characterize it as levity or

theatricality or what was going on.

Yeah, I'll let the viewers judge from some of the video that we saw, you know, online

and certainly in social media now to set the stage the

Libertarian Party is in a sense our third party they get roughly 3% of the

votes and they've been around for many, many decades and you know have connections to the Von Mises Institute as an example of the American Economic Forum.

And in general, at their core,

are free market, civil liberty, libertarians.

They simply want very little government, free markets to operate. And you know, you have to admit in our two party system, John, it does take a lot of guts to be in the third party, right?

I mean, so I was on the speaker list for a major presentation between Robert F. Kennedy, which was in the Friday evening, and then myself Saturday morning, and then right after me a few hours later Donald Trump.

Now in the meantime the convention is trying to get a straw poll and getting down to

their final candidate for president.
