Well, that was a big 10 game, wasn't it? Every possession mattered. Both teams had some

impressive runs. There were some perplexing, frustrating stretches, and at the end, both teams

had a real chance to win it. To win in this league, the best league in America. I don't think

there's any question about that. You have to find ways to win when things aren't clicking

for you. A lot of times, it won't be because of something you're not doing.

It'll be because of what the opponent is doing and having success with.

Michigan burst out to a big lead.

It was 15 with two plus minutes left in the first half.

But then, just like that, Penn State had a rebuttal, 6-0 run to make things closer at the

half. Then, a 10-2 run to start the second half. And in a blink, Penn State was within a point,

and then, Anthony Lions took the lead a few times in the second half. We'll get into what Michigan

did have working, but here's some things that they didn't have working in the

entirety of the game that certainly were noticeable during those Penn State runs. Isaiah Livers,

one of seven from the floor. Franz Wagner, two of five. The two transfers, Mike Smith and

Sean D. Brown Jr. didn't get much going offensively. Smith with eight points, five coming very early, only three after that,

and Brown did not score at all, and Michigan committed 16 turnovers

leading to 18 Nittany Lions points.

Any one of those things could have sunk the Wolverines in this game,

or quite frankly frankly in any game

within the Big Ten. But this year, in this league, you're not going to have everything clicking,

maybe ever, maybe in a single game all season long. You have to seek out what you do have,

what you were able to cobble together. and on Sunday, what they had was enough.
