Over the last few days, and even at times during Wednesday's Michigan win over Oregon and Chrysler Center,

I went back to Dusty May's comments about turnovers from Saturday at Rutgers.

He was asked in his postgame press conference by the media about them, which has been common this year.

And he had this quote, we can't spend any more time working on it, end quote, saying that we've put a

lot of time into it. There's only so many hours in the day, and you kind of start extrapolating

that out a little bit. It's the first week of February. What you are now doesn't have to be where

you are in March, but it's certainly a lot closer to what your final product will be

than back in November or December, even early on in conference play in January.

As we get into February, you start to learn things that you feel confident you know about a team.

And for Michigan, there are some flaws, no doubt.

Turnovers being one of the top ones statistically, and just if you watch Michigan basketball.

Offensive rebounds have been at times an area of concern.

Wolverines have not finished all that well at times at the basket offensively.

Even individuals like Danny Wolf and Trey Donaldson who can have some brilliant individual

performances or plays like yet another Trey Sham God on Wednesday or the Danny Wolf stepback

as part of his league leading 10th double double,

but there will also occasionally be a rough play, a rough game for guys like Danny or Trey.

Even look at the ebbs and flows of the reserves for Michigan.

Justin Pippin and Sam Walters were critical to the win in Piscataway four days ago, and they didn't play a whole lot and have a huge factor in the Michigan victory over Oregon.

But there's plenty of good we know about Michigan, too.

And I mentioned this is a lesson coming from a couple of wins.
