Dusty May was in a familiar place on Saturday afternoon, and then as the game played out,

he and the Wolverines were in a familiar place, surging to at one point an 18-point first half lead.

They led 4327 at halftime.

Then the second half, a complete change.

Indiana rallied.

They tied the game on a few occasions,

and they had a chance to take the lead at one point. But Michigan held on. They survived.

And somehow, despite not trailing in each of their last three games in the second half,

they are 3-0, and all three have come by four points or less.

The familiarity with how this game played out from a margin standpoint, that was certainly

the case.

How Michigan got there to the victory differed.

First half, Trey Donaldson was the star of the show.

14 points, he was rolling. Yet in the second

half, Indiana went to a zone. It forced Michigan out of its element, at least its first half

element, and they only scored 27 second half points. But that zone prompted Michigan to go back

to the well and what has been so key for them and so important

on opponent's scouting reports, which has meant that Michigan's had to adjust. That four, five

pick and roll, but Danny Wolf and Vlad Golden combined for 21 of Michigan's 27 points in that

second half. They had eight rebounds combined. Danny Wolf had three assists,

and maybe most importantly, they both excelled at the free throw lines.

Michigan's two seven footers, 13 of 14 from the stripe. Michigan as a team, 17 of 20.
