Michigan shouldn't apologize for any of its 22 wins or its very solid NCAA tournament resume,

along with the fact that Michigan finished in a share of second place in a league that last

year it finished four games back of everybody. It's an incredible accomplishment Michigan's been

able to turn things around the way that they have. But down the stretch, it's changed.

The Wolverines finished with three consecutive losses,

four defeats in their last six, and their lone wins in the last six games, 4946 to a Nebraska

team that ended up missing the Big Ten tournament, and 8482 on a dramatic Namari Burnett

3 at the buzzer to beat a Rutgers team that will have to play on Wednesday night at the Big Ten tournament.

The hope is to peak at the right time.

And even if it's not necessarily the be-all end-all right now in the season,

the context clues for where Michigan is right now don't favor a peaking for Michigan.

A March surge would require not quite a 180-degree flip,

but closer than we would have ever imagined six games ago.

Michigan has not had a good game in weeks.

It still feels like the team has been searching for that first complete game all season.

And if you don't have one in your first

31 games, it is almost impossible to find it during win or go home season. There are things we know

or at least feel pretty confident that we know about this team. There is some good. What Vlad

Golden has delivered for Michigan down the stretch has been tremendous. We know that there is some talent on this ball club.

We also know that they're going to commit turnovers.

They're not quite as deep as we were hoping for back in the non-conference portion of the season.
