368 days ago, what Michigan accomplished on Sunday in Indianapolis felt impossible.

The Wolverines finished off a 3-17 season in the Big Ten.

They finished four games back of everybody, at least, in the league standings,

and they were won and done in Minneapolis at this event.

Then Dusty May took over, and while he exuded plenty of confidence that he could turn this around and

make it a winning program in year one, how could there not be some doubts, some wonder? As he

built his roster with this new look staff, he continued to reiterate that yes, Michigan can go from

last to a contender in year one.

Michigan got off to a really strong start this season.

They looked solid in the non-conference early on, and then a hundred two days ago, the Big Ten opener.

Again, contention felt a bit of a reach at best, but Michigan started at the coal center against the Wisconsin

Badgers. Then Area 51 really started to establish itself. That four-five pick and roll

became a focal point for Michigan in route to a 12-and-2 start in Big Ten play. And yes, some thought
