It feels like this week must have been a tough one for Donald Trump.

And Trump's Republican National Convention, the main star power was Hulk Hogan and Kid Rock.

At this week's Democratic National Convention there was Pink and John Legend,

the Chicks, Stevie Wonder, Ava Longoria, Steve Kerr, Jason Isbell, Tony Goldwyn, Common, Patty La Bell,

Lil John, Sean Aston, Mindy Kaling, Spike Lee, Keenan Thompson, Carrie Washington, D. L. Hughley,

Julie Louis Dreyfus, Mark Hammel, and Oprah Winfrey. The DNC was so star-studded that the organizers could

afford to bump James Taylor entirely, just cancel him for the sake of time.

But what really probably made this week tough for Donald Trump

were the ratings.

Not only did the DNC outperform the RNC in ratings every single night. But

Kamala Harris's DNC acceptance speech had nearly 3 million more viewers than

the Trump than Trump's RNC acceptance speech. In terms of all the things Donald Trump cares about, all of which are admittedly pretty

superficial.

Crowd, crowd size, celebrity, ratings, in terms of all that,

the DNC destroyed the RNC.

But the DNC also accomplished something

more substantive and arguably a lot more important.

Democrats reclaimed what it means to be a real American

from the Republican Party.

Look, Kamala knows like we do that regardless of where you come from,

what you look like, who you love, how you worship, or what's in your bank account. We all deserve the opportunity

to build a decent life. All of our contributions deserve to be accepted and valued.
