Listen, what we live for at Living Proof

is to serve people the Word of God. We base our ministry on Hebrews 412 that tells us that the

word is alive and active. We pray this message is going to serve you in some way today

Let's read John 15. I want to read verses 1 through 11. 7. Somebody say, I'm ready to receive it.

Hallelujah.

I am the true vine and my father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit.

While every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.

So you're already seeing this is going to be in a context of

he wants us to bear fruit, he wants us to bear more fruit and we're going to see

later in the chapter he actually wants us to bear much fruit. It says in verse 3, you are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you.

Remain in me and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself. It must remain in the vine.

Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

I am the vine. You are the branches, he says.

If a man remains in me and I and him, he will bear much fruit.

Apart from me, you can do nothing.

If anyone does not remain in me, it's like a branch that is thrown away and wither.

Such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.

If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish.
