On November 19th of this year, one of the saddest most terrifying most bizarre and most fascinating episodes in American history drew to a close with the death of Charles Manson.

The story of the Manson family and the Manson murders now belongs to the past except for those directly involved.

That includes the survivors of the Tate Labyanka victims and members of the Manson family,

some of whom remain behind bars.

And my guest today, Diane Lake,

who has written the book,

So the first question, the first subject that I feel like we need to address, people going to say and I'm sure have said to you this is not something anyone should be profiting off of writing a book about about this sort of thing and I'm sure you've thought about that a little bit and what's your answer to that?
