Summary

Yippee-ki-yay, listeners! The Shat The Movies crew is back with a vengeance—literally—as we dive into 1995's "Die Hard with a Vengeance!"

In this action-packed review, Big D and Gene Lyons debate whether the third installment in the Die Hard franchise holds up or if it's a step down from its predecessors. From Samuel L. Jackson’s unforgettable turn as Zeus Carver to Jeremy Irons’ cunning portrayal of Simon Gruber, we break down the film’s pacing, action sequences, and that controversial alternate ending.

Did Die Hard 3 give us the grittiest McClane yet, or did it lose its way in a bloated second half? Find out as we rate the movie on our patented wipe scale and discuss whether it truly deserves its place among ’90s action classics!

Plot Synopsis:
After a New York City department store bombing, NYPD officer John McClane (Bruce Willis) is forced into a deadly game of Simon Says by a mysterious terrorist named Simon Gruber (Jeremy Irons). With the help of reluctant sidekick Zeus Carver (Samuel L. Jackson), McClane races across the city to prevent further destruction while uncovering Gruber’s true plan—a massive gold heist at the Federal Reserve Bank. As time runs out, McClane must outwit his most cunning adversary yet in a high-stakes battle of wits, explosions, and classic one-liners.
