I recently had an alarming experience that has left me shaken.

I was dog sitting for my boyfriend while he was away on a backpacking trip.

His home is in a semi-remote area at the bottom of a hill,

at the back of a few acres of property. He's right next to the highway, which has a small rural

neighborhood on the other side. It's very sketchy and very safe at the same time, meaning that the community is tight-knit,
