Now you've spoken a lot about digging and there's digging and then there's digging.

You know there's like a subculture so there's people who might go around go record shopping

and hit places and states but you're like on your own financing trips all around the globe

to go dig for specific styles of music in specific countries and there's like a whole like

like almost like secret language of this can you take us a bit into that subculture of digging?

God I don't even know where to start. Okay well I got my ass handed to me once I met Cut

because I thought I was digging for records because Rob won, Reston P's Rob won. He gave me props and

Rob had deep crates. It's like damn knew you're like the only cat I know that has like just as deep

crates and then I met Cut and I was like oh shit this dude is wild with it. So he'd be like

knew we got to wake up early we got the fair you know in Pasadena the record fair. So on the East

Coast they had the Roosevelt and you know Pete Rock everybody you know Tip everybody you know

beat miners everybody was just cleaning it up so it wasn't something that Cut and I said but we

felt like we got to catch up you know and we hadn't really released J5 yet we were you know

demoing shit it was like we got to catch up to these crates because the MIAs are going to be

gone you know all these records came from like Japan somebody brought home the MIAs but now they're

being sold back to Japan or back to other countries and so we're like we better grab these and so

when we were going to these you know flea markets or to to the Pasadena flea market what I remember
