You don't get to heaven by being a good fill in the blank.

Hindu, Buddhist, Muslim, Jew doesn't matter.

You don't get to heaven by doing those things.

We only get to the Father through Jesus.

Okay. My name is Father Mike Schmitz and this is a Center presents.

A number of people that have asked me this question.

They, especially as they're reading the Old Testament and even thinking about all of the people, the millions, if not more than millions and millions of people who lived before the time of Jesus.

And they ask the question, wait a second, those people in the Old Testament, those people who aren't even the Old Testament, but live before the time of Jesus,

like what happens to them?

Are they just all completely lost or do they all get a pass?

And even that goes on to people who, in our day day and age who have never heard of Jesus.

Are they automatically lost or do they automatically get a pass because they didn't have a choice?

We know that Jesus Christ has said very clearly no one comes to the Father except through him that he is and this is true

sometimes people have this image like you know God is the mountaintop and all the

other religions are like ways to get up at the top of the mountain that's a fine analogy

it's wrong but it's a fine analogy. It's wrong, but it's a fine analogy. A better analogy is like this.

Okay, here's the mountain top. All these other religions are in world ways,

philosophies and ways of thinking, are ways to get to the top of the mountain, but here's a problem.

Here's the one mountain, here's the other mountain, here's one mountain, and that's as far as human beings can get.

The other mountain's over here, and that's where God is, and there's no way to get from this top of this mountain or to this mountain.
