Whether or not you've ever read any Charles Dickens,

I'm assuming that you probably know the first line of his famous tale of two cities.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.

And perhaps more than just know the line, you know the experience or the feeling.

Where amazing spiritual highs are followed by just the worst possible experiences.

And welcome to this week's material in Come Follow Me.

Last week we were on the mountain top, the mountain of the Lord that is.

We studied section 109 and 110 about this incredible Pentecostal experience in Kirkland when the temple was dedicated.

And then that's 109, the dedicatory prayer.

And then 110, the Lord appears to accept this gift that's been given him.

And then Elijah and Moses and Elias come and restore priesthood keys to Joseph Smith and all the recountry.

And I remember last week we talked about that there were saints there that literally thought that the Millennium had begun.

Because Christ had come and I haven't been tempted in weeks.

Just writing this incredible spiritual high of this outpouring of heavenly manifestations.

And you'd think by 1836, well if the Millennium hasn't officially begun, it's right around the corner.

Well, something was right around the corner.
