I'm Jared Halverson, looking forward to another week in scripture study with you.

Before we dive into the doctrine of covenants today, I needed to make a quick announcement.

Based on a change that YouTube has thrown our way.

For those of you who are watching on Facebook or listening to the podcast,

this doesn't affect you at all.

But YouTube has decided to take advantage of the fact that it's their company

and they can do whatever they want.

They sent us creators an email saying that they are taking advantage of their platform.

And it is now their right to add commercials to the beginning of any and every video that they choose.

Which is frustrating to me.

From the very beginning, I have made a conscious decision not to and never to monetize this.

I work a lot with people struggling in their faith.

And sometimes skepticism turns into cynicism, which is a tragic step in my opinion.

Skepticism is simply, I have a hard time believing what you're saying.

And I understand when you're talking about the miraculous and the divine and the spiritual.
