Welcome back to this replay episode of Ctrl Alt Delete. Recorded three(?) years ago, writer Dolly Alderton and I discuss her memoir Everything I Know About Love, writing truthfully, turning thirty and how her life changed when her memoir sky-rocketed her to suddenly being in the public domain.
Dolly Alderton is an award-winning journalist, broadcaster and author. I've known Dolly since our freelancing days at places like The Debrief magazine where I worked in 2014 and it's been so fun watching her career blossom in so many different directions over the last decade. Dolly is the author of three books: Everything I Know About Love, now a major BBC drama series which I thoroughly enjoyed watching. For EIKAL she he won a National Book Award back in 2018 and is back in the charts now (in 2022) reaching a new audience through the TV show coming out; her novel Ghosts came out in 2020 and she has a new book Dear Dolly, a book publishing this October in 2022, which is a collection of her Dear Dolly columns plus new material. She also co-created and co-hosted the weekly current affairs and pop culture podcast called The High Low. Hope you enjoy this trip down memory lane with Dolly! <3
