Hey guys, welcome back to We met at Acme. I'm so excited for today's solo episode, all about the importance of keeping your cards close to your chest. So this came about because I wrote my substack that week about this topic. And I actually really didn't think that this would get as much traction as it did. It was just, you know, a little substack, by the way. Feel free to subscribe to it. It's just we met at Acme on substack. You haven't yet. And I wanted to talk about a subject that is, no pun intended, close to my chest, because I had come off of a dating consultation. I do

these dating consultations and I was helping this woman and she was incredible. She was going

through like a transitional phase in her life and she was dating this guy most recently who she

really liked but it went south and we were trying to kind of get to the bottom of how that happened. And it turned out that she did things for him before he deserved them, like almost like boyfriend privileges before he was her boyfriend. And I just wrote about it with her permission and

talked about how early dating is a little like poker. You got to maintain your poker phase and all

that stuff. So I'll summarize the substack for you. And then I am going to get into, I wrote for you

three things that you need to start doing to keep your cards close to your chest when dating. And then we're going to get into, I wrote for you three things that you need to start doing to keep your cards

close to your chest when dating. And then we're going to go over, even though you already know

the dating rules, the most important three rules to follow when dating. Like if you're only going to

follow three, it should be these three. So we're going to get into that. Just a little check-in for me. I am wearing

green today in honor of Wicked. Wicked the movie is finally out. If you don't know this about me,

I'm Broadway obsessed. And Wicked was one of the shows that really like got me super into Broadway and I have

definitely seen it in in like the in the show it was what is the word I'm like for in the

Broadway theater multiple times I was lucky enough to see it with the original cast, with Kristen Chenoweth,

and Idina Manzel, or as some may know her, Adele Dazim. If you got it, you got it. And I'm just

obsessed. I'm obsessed and I was really nervous for this movie. I had no expectations whatsoever.

In fact, I didn't think I would like it because, and I feel bad

admitting this, but I always found Ariana Grande or Ariana Grande, annoying. And I am so sorry for that

thought because she was wonderful. She blew me away. I'm recording this episode on November 25th, right before Thanksgiving. I feel like this isn't going to air until like December 22nd. So I'm just saying that in case this doesn't air until then, just keeping my feelings relevant on when we're recording. It was the most phenomenal movie I've seen in years. I don't

think I've enjoyed a movie like that since Coda. I went with two girlfriends who are also

Broadway lovers and we went at 10 a.m. because it was really important to us that we didn't have an entire theater of people who
