Summary

32-year-old Dorothy Jane Scott went missing close to midnight on May 28th, 1980. Dorothy was last seen at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center, where she had taken a coworker who needed urgent medical care. Dorothy’s car was seen speeding out of the parking lot and was found a few hours later burning in an alley in Santa Ana, but Dorothy was nowhere to be found. Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the disappearance and murder of Dorothy Jane Scott. She was described as quiet and rarely went out because she was focused on raising her four-year-old son. The year before she was murdered, Dorothy began receiving harassing phone calls. These calls escalated to threats and continued to be made to her family after she disappeared. There have been a number of persons of interest over the years, but no one has been brought to justice for Dorothy's murder.
