0:28.6 | Liberty University was founded in 1971, and I came here 15 years ago as a history professor. I've been the chair of the department for the last three years and I've been the director of the graduate program for the last 10 years. |

0:58.4 | that's from a fully accredited university |

1:05.6 | Theologically conservative evangelical perspective and we think that's unique |

1:19.6 | Yeah, what motivated you when you are choosing programs in undergrad to be a historian? |
1:25.6 | I started out as a biblical studies major and that's actually what my undergraduate |
1:30.9 | degree is in in Bible. I went to Bob Jones University and I did a |
1:36.7 | history minor and I started really falling in love with history because of a couple of historians that were there. |
1:44.4 | Dr. Edward Penozian was our teacher for Western civilization. |
1:49.9 | Still to this day, the best history teacher I've ever seen. |
1:54.8 | He absolutely captivated his audience, the students. |
2:00.3 | This is in a big lecture hall. |
