This is the sober friends podcast. All right, Steve, we're going to talk a little bit about peace,

serenity, bringing good things to us. I have a boss who we had a conversation, and we talked a little bit about the universe working in our favor.

And she told to me, we're not looking to see where the universe is working in our favor.

And her talk around that is the things that are good and peaceful that can be brought to us. It's your

topic today around the 11th step prayer, which I think comes into that. Tell us a little bit

more about this. Well, good morning, Matt. Nice to be with you. Um, this beautiful morning here up

in Connecticut. It really like,

it's the calm before the storm again. We just got out of this huge heat wave with all this hot

and humidity. Gross. And this morning I woke up at it was 66 degrees. It's going to get hot again.

It'll be in the 90s, but it was just nice to have that nice start. But, you know, I go to a Friday night men's group. It's my meeting.

It's the meeting that sort of keeps me centered. It's the guys at that meeting are the most

important guys in my sobriety. There's a fellow there, Todd, Todd Kay, he's always pushing

prayer and meditation, prayer meditation. And Todd and I have somewhat of a similar

background. We both had fairly long-term sobriety. Todd a lot more than me, and we both sort of went
