A couple of weeks ago, we told you about the murder of Kelly Jean Popleton, which remains a cold case.

The episode included parts of an interview we were able to do with Kelly's sister Amanda. Today we would love to present to you

the entire conversation. Amanda talks with us about what she remembers about her sister, how her parents changed after the horrible

tragedy of losing their teenage daughter, and about some of the latest developments in

the case.

Before we start, I would just like to give you a very quick update on Jem. So for those of you who don't know roughly

three weeks ago, I was browsing through a Beagle group on Facebook and someone mentioned

K-9 Lefora disease and honestly it immediately rang a bell like I had heard about it years ago it's a very rare

disease that mostly affects only a handful of breeds and beagle being among the most affected.

It's a genetic neurodegenerative disorder and unfortunately there is no cure and it's not good. So I read about it again a couple of weeks ago and the symptoms I read were pretty spot on with what I experienced with Jam and so we had him tested and yes unfortunately

our fears were confirmed Jam tested positive for LaFu, which is absolutely devastating news.

But I'm not going to lie, it's also kind of a relief to finally have a diagnosis.

And the good news is that I already got an appointment with a vet neurologist at the vet
