Before we start, we'd like to give a huge shout out to Danielle.

She wrote us a great and very informative email about the Halifax Explosion.

And she sent us a riveting reenactment, a link to this very riveting reenactment of the

bravery of Vince Coleman,

who we discussed in the episodes. But also one of the things that she mentioned was a story that

when I was researching the explosion, I saw the barest glimmer of this information. And I was like,

oh, that's kind of supernatural. I'm going to circle

back to that later. But then it ended up being this monster case that was two episodes long and

I didn't end up circling back to it. So this is fascinating. So essentially what it is is the

story of a window and it's in the oldest church in Halifax,

St. Paul's, which was founded in 1749, and I believe the actual building was built in 1750.

And today, if you look at the windows on the church, in one of the windows, you can see quite

clearly the silhouette of a person.

And this has now spawned all manner of urban legend. The most ridiculous is that when the

massive explosion happened, the deacon at the time, who was giving a sermon, was decapitated by

the blast and his head flew through the window and in cartoon fashion left a perfect silhouette,

like Bugs Bunny style, you know, of the... I don't want to laugh, but... No, it's hilarious,

obviously. It's, I mean, I think we can rule that out.
