Summary

Many people think that the Jewish "feasts", or holy days, are specific only to the Jews. And although it's true that God specifically commanded the Israelites to observe them, they are actually relevant for all of his children... including those of us grafted in by Christ.

In today's episode, we're going to talk about the significance of the Feast of Tabernacles and how God has always wanted to live amongst His people. From His descent into the tabernacle with the Israelites in the wilderness, to the time when He returns to tabernacle among us again. It's possible that even Christ, himself, was born in the very midst of this special feast. This episode will bless you!

0:12.2	Well, welcome back to the final study of the Fall Feast of Israel. Today, October the 5th, 22 is actually the Day of Atonement.

0:38.9	not only from a Jewish perspective, but prophetically for us as Christians as well. So I've mentioned
0:45.6	this throughout the series on the Fall Feast of Israel, but I want to summarize again the purpose of
0:50.7	the feast that were commanded by God in Leviticus. In Matthew chapter 24, the disciples come to Jesus on the Mount of Olives, and they have this
0:58.8	dialogue with him, asking, what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?
1:04.7	Now, Jesus goes on and on, describing the details of what we should be watching for, and he
1:09.8	concludes with, but of that day,
1:12.5	no man knows the day or the hour, not even the angels of heaven, only God knows. Now many people
1:18.9	take that to mean that we're all in the dark, that no one knows when he will be coming. It could be
1:23.9	anywhere at any time. But this couldn't be further from the truth.
1:28.2	There are hints all throughout Scripture pointing to the exact season and time frame of Christ's return.
1:35.3	And as we learned in episode three, the Feast of Trumpets was well known by the Jews as the feast
1:41.3	where no man knew the day or the hour when it would begin, because it was
1:45.7	fully dependent on the sightings of the first slivers of a new moon in order to set the date.
1:51.5	In fact, to this day, some Jewish sects still celebrate this feast over the course of
1:56.4	two days because of this uncertainty. So although the scripture might have gone right over our heads,
2:04.1	Jesus was speaking the terminology that his people would have widely understood. Now further down in
