Yes, your whole country is almost as big as the whole European continent, I think.

I know, it's huge, and the climates are so diverse.

It's pretty amazing really, like if you look at New England compared to Key West,

compared to Arizona, compared to the Pacific Northwest, just the diversity it's pretty

amazing.

Whenever we had friends over from the US, they always loved our you know narrow winding streets in the city the old

gothic churches and of course all of our buremberg we are always told that some places

in Europe look just like straight out of a fairy tale.

One of the reasons why we have those lovely narrow winding streets which actually suck for traffic.

Thank God many places are on their way to ban cars from the inner cities now, which I highly appreciate.

So why we have narrow streets and boorg and cathedrals and all the other great fairy tale stuff is due to the so-called middle aute, the medieval times.

And we thought after we usually prefer to talk about the Victorian era, the Edwardian era,

and we had short excursions to the Habsburg Empire why not tackle another historical theme the medieval times
