Hello everyone and welcome to slash film daily. Today is Tuesday, November 7th

0:03.6

2023 on today's episode of the show. We're going to be talking about the

0:06.8

latest film and TV news. My name is Ben Pearson. I'm an editor at slash film

0:10.4

com and I'm joined on today's episode by slash film

0:13.0

film editor, B.J. Colangelo.

0:14.4

Hi, hi, hi, yeah.

0:16.0

Okay, B. J. Let's jump into the news today.

0:18.2

There was word that came out from Jan Damage, the director of the upcoming Marvel Blade movie, the reboot, that this movie is actually going to be rated R.

0:29.4

He said that Marvel gave him the R rating for that.

0:32.0

I think there was a lot of speculation that this movie would be rated R, returning to the R rated routes from whence it came, you know, back with the original Blade trilogy back in the day. But I think there was some speculation like or some

0:55.8

MCU.

0:56.8

it is happening.

1:02.3

Like they have a bunch of stuff that they've announced coming up but I don't really think a lot of it is going to be appropriate for our rating like there's a Thunderbolts movie there's an armor project, a couple of Avengers sequels.

1:25.0

I don't think they're going to do it with the X-Men,

1:29.5

like the main X-Men relaunch,

1:31.6

or Fantastic Four, because those are very important properties for Marvel.

1:36.5

But is there anything else that you can think of that might make sense for an R-rated movie coming from Marvel Studios in the in the coming years?

1:46.0

If they ever actually make a Sinister Six movie I feel like it has to be R-rated.

1:52.0

That's just my feelings on it and I also think there was no way that
