Hello my loves. This is Adrian and I am I'm

I'm going to introduce you to this next episode which is kind of a hybrid. It's from the election time

with A and B series that I've been doing on my Instagram and it also is all about solidarity and solidarity as love which is the theme of

this year for us so I think it's going to be a really powerful conversation for you to listen to.

My guest is Vanessa German, who is an artist and a poet. She makes incredible sculpture, incredible watercolors. She is always

creating. She's someone who I think of as a constant creator. And she moved to Asheville, North Carolina in 2021 a few years ago.

So we are talking as relatively new southerners facing a hurricane season.

And yeah, there's a lot of beauty in this conversation.

I hope it nourishes you the way it did us.

This is stunning to me in all of the ways, right? So I have been stung as though, you know, some enormous force pierced me with something and I'm also I feel deeply

speechless in a lot of ways and good with that.

I feel, I feel like I am being, like there's some force in the cosmos that's its magnet that's dragging me

towards a threshold yes there's all of this information and this density around me.

And I'm being like heart,

my heart is being pulled towards a threshold and it is stunning because I recognize really deep beauty.

I recognize really deep deep true pure beauty that is like calling up

through the earth into the hearts and hands of people who by watching people help each other in

Asheville watching people help each other around here to me I feel like the universe is pointing at people and saying this is what I told you.

This is what you have. This is it. And so it's really stunning to see so much stripped off of people's hearts and then them

showing up in tenderness and a generosity that's utter. It's like this

utter generosity but I also look at the devastation in the River Arts

District in Asheville and I think this is what all of Gaza looks like.
