Today we're going to talk about guns, but more specifically about background checks.

And the push now in Washington, D.C.

to quote unquote enhance or strengthen background checks.

Now, the media always loves to do this, the the left and even Republicans love to do this

after a mass shooting the go-to response is oh we need tougher background checks

but what they aren't telling you what they aren't telling you, what they aren't telling the country, is that the people who perpetrated these horrible acts of violence, they passed their background checks.

And they were able to do that because there was nothing in their criminal history that would have

precluded them from buying a gun. They weren't arrested. They weren't

charged with a crime. They weren't convicted of a felony or a violent

misdemeanor. And they hadn't been involuntarily admitted to a mental institution, right?

They hadn't been adjudicated mentally defective by a court or a governing board.
