No big introduction today. A repeat guest, a new interview with Market Wizard Tom Basso.

0:08.7

Tom has been on this podcast. I don't know how many times, but there's a reason for that.

0:16.0

Tom gives you that peaceful, easy feeling, and he always seems to have, how do I want to say this?

0:24.9

Just the right way of thinking. If you can't learn something from Tom, his tone, his perspective,

0:31.7

some insight, some factoid, there's something wrong with you. Without any further delay from me, let's jump right into my episode today with

0:41.6

trend following trader Tom Baso. You're a guy that first officially retired at what age?

1:02.9

51.

1:04.2

And I think you're a very prepared, planned guy, and I'm sure that would have been fine for the rest of your life. But now,

1:13.7

here we are all these years later, and I know it's not for the money. You just must be having

1:19.9

1:25.6

in social media and I'll see something in a feed or whatever.

1:33.9

You must love this.

1:35.5

That's true.

1:36.6

We got Facebook and LinkedIn chiming in for about 5,000 followers.

1:41.6

And we got X now up to 55.5 or something thousand followers. More people I think know

1:48.8

who Tom Basso is than they did when I was a money manager I think. And yeah, I've been retired now 20 years.

1:56.2

If I go about seven and a half more years, I figure, I will have been retired longer than I was a

2:02.9

money manager, which is really hard for me to get around my head. Actually, when I retired, I first

2:08.7

retired, I took a year off of trading. I went to money markets and I just said, I'm not going to

2:14.1

even look at a screen. I'm not going to be in a computer. I'm just going to go out and prune my plants.

2:19.1

And I worked out a lot.
