When life is painful, it’s common to have thoughts that say, “what’s the point of recovering when everything is so terrible?” Seeing suffering in the world might cause you to believe that it makes sense to just stay isolated in the habitual pattern of binge eating. It’s so important to realize that recovery does not depend on life being good or on you being happy, and there is absolutely a point of stopping binge eating even on the hardest days. Kathryn and Coach Julie address this topic so that you can gain the courage and strength to keep pursuing recovery during emotionally challenging times.
