I'm JJ Stankovitz, joined by John Moon Mullen.

We're back in the coat closet here at Hallis Hall because the Bears on Sunday introduced to us,

Khalil Mack. It really happened, Moon. The Bears really traded for

Khalil Mack. I think we might have some crow to eat because a week ago we did a podcast saying

that there was basically no way the bears would trade for Khalil Mack. But to be fair to us,

at the time, there was no way the Bears are trading for Kaleo Mack.

Then all of a sudden, Friday rolls around, and I think actually what rolled around was the Aaron Donald contract.

And then at that point, I believe that is when Kaleel Mack became actually available for the

Bears to trade, and Ryan Pace pulled it off.

Well, I think one of the reasons that a lot of people thought,

two reasons why people thought it wasn't going to happen for the Bears or anyone,

was that the Raiders for a while weren't looking to trade them.

And I think it won nail on the head there with the contract.

All of a sudden it was like, I think I saw a comment for Reggie McKenzie, Raiders, GM,

that it just wasn't going to work.

So at that point, it's interesting because the terms came down.

One of the other reasons, the other reason I think we were, and so many people thought this

can't happen is we talked about Ryan Pace was not willing to give up two number ones to get

a quarterback.

Jimmy Garoppolo or to get Marcus Marriota in the trade up in the draft to get that.

So for him to come out and throw that much draft capital into this seemed a long shot.
