Hey, everybody, Tom and Bob here with another episode of Contra Krugman. This time we're actually

departing from Krugman a little bit, and we're going to talk about, well, we're going to

talk about a general topic, but we're going to use a springboard, as a springboard, a column by

Caitlin Johnstone. And I will bet a good number of our listeners know who she is. She's definitely

on the left, and she definitely holds views that couldn't be farther from mine. But when she's

right, is she ever right? She's been really, really great on Russia, on foreign policy, a bunch of

things, the treatment of Tulsi Gabbard. She's been really, really good.

And she had a column called How and How Not to Beat a Smear campaign, given that these go on every five seconds, and even the people perpetrating them, know that it's just a charade to hurt people.

I mean, I genuinely don't believe that in a lot of

these cases, they really think so-and-so person is secretly hoping to enslave black people or

murder people of some group. I mean, I'm sure they don't actually think that. They just know that

if you want to destroy somebody, this is how to do it.
