Laramie Wyoming punk rock band, Teenage Bottle Rocket. Ray and I break down the single,

everything to me, taken from their 2019 Fat Records release,

Stay Rad.

For what's become a running theme on Krista Makes a Podcast, Ray talks about how the lyrics

for everything to me were written in about five minutes in one pen to paper sitting

and how the music to the song came shortly thereafter. He lets us in on the fact that the band pushes

all egos aside when recording and will play each other's instruments or parts of a song

if it feels better suited towards that particular member. Ray shares how his son Milo was a

shining light during a really tough time in his life and how that was one of the many

inspirations for how this song ultimately came about. He shed some light on what

each member of the band's strengths are and how producer Andrew Berlin is pretty much the perfect producer for teenage bottle rocket.
