welcome back to the leaving eden podcast there are some men who are seen as like pillars of

0:36.8

the ifb movement and those are men like Lester Roloff,

0:41.4

like J. Frank Norris, like Jack Hiles. Today we're talking about one of those guys. The guy we're

0:45.2

0:51.2

there is just a lot to talk about with John R. Rice. I wasn't raised with a

0:58.0

familiarity with his life story, the way that I was raised with a familiarity with Jack Hiles' life

1:33.9

So hugely historically important person, and I'm really excited to talk about him over

1:39.1

these two episodes.

1:40.3

1:45.6

I was listening to episodes of David Baker's podcast, the Fundamental Baptist podcast as

1:52.6

like preparation for that episode.

1:54.1

And during the like the intro to that podcast is we were like, well, it used to be that

2:00.4

when you said you were Baptist, you were a

2:02.3

fundamentalist, but that's not true anymore. And blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And things got bad.
