Police arrested Evans the day after the documentary was broadcast. As she jailed Evans for four years last November, the judge said: "The risk you pose to women is significant. The combination of your history and continuing sexual interest underlies my concern you are a risk of serious sexual harm to women." 83-year-old Evans is back before the Parole Board in October 2024. 0:02.8	There they arrested an unsuspecting Ronald Evans who was preparing for release.
0:07.1	When I met him, he was thin, balding, wearing glasses.
0:13.4	He didn't look much of a threat,
0:15.1	and he was very personal when we met him as well.
0:18.8	When I introduced myself and told him what I was there for,
0:21.9	he was very, very shocked.
0:23.0	And initially he thought that it was a deliberate ploy on our part because he knew he was coming
0:29.7	up for a review of parole.
0:38.0	But it wasn't a ploy by the police. The coal case team had firm evidence linking Evans to the two unsolved attacks. He was going back to court.
0:46.4	When police charged Evans for these historic attacks there was a renewed interest from

0:51.5	Ronald Evans, a 63-year-old former electrician, was told he faced a count of rape, attempted rape,
0:57.9	and four counts of indecent assault which are alleged to have taken place in Bristol. Bespectacled and wearing a padded jacket.
1:04.0	And I was in court as Evans made his first appearance.
1:07.0	This case was heard before Bristol Magistrates in court number one,
1:11.0	and it lasted just two minutes.
1:13.3	Ronald Evans spoke only to confirm his name and address
1:16.3	and the case was adjourned for a hearing before Bristol Crown Court next Tuesday.
1:21.0	He was returned to prison after the third day after we charged him and then it was a case of preparing the files.
1:29.0	Both ladies agreed to come to Bristol and both provided me with some very, very detailed victim
