I wish we had happier things to talk about with the Chicago Bears.

But let's get to it.

As we record this podcast, John Fox says Jake Cutler is day to day.

It contradicts certainly some of the moves that have been made like signing David fails

and maybe trying to get Jake Rudok from Detroit. The reports that we heard earlier in the

week torn labrum in the throwing shoulder, season probably done. Right now it's up in the air.

What do you make of this? Well, I think, well, if you go back

and you look at Kyle Long, who also had a torn labor room, they let him rest, calm down the

shoulder, and then lo and behold, he was there available to start the season. Maybe that's

what's ongoing right now, because Jay Cutler's going to get a second opinion, probably seeing

what the significant of the tear is, because that's going to be important.

And then can it cause any other problems?

I mean, this is his livelihood.
